I am a general practitioner and took over my father’s country doctor’s practice in 2014. When I took over the practice, I was not only a self-employed doctor, but also an employer. Up to that point, I had no experience in managing employees, which initially presented me with challenges. This situation was exacerbated when several employees left my company over time.

I then found a professional coach at my side in Monika Kain. After several one-on-one meetings, she made it clear to me that I needed to work on my leadership style. In addition to individual coaching, the team meetings led by Monika Kain were a great added value. We got to know each other better as a team, developed rules of the game and increased our willingness to deal with conflict. In addition, a strengths and weaknesses profile was created for each employee and analyzed by Monika. This enabled a better allocation according to the existing potential of my employees. This team development and the structuring of the work areas brought structure to my practice.

In addition to Monika’s extensive expertise, I could also count on her prudence, perseverance and variety of methods.

An 8-month-long, successful journey to a happier and more contented life! But first, back to the beginning: I can be described as very ambitious, disciplined and full of life energy, but stress and pressure to succeed ultimately led to me no longer being satisfied with myself and my overall situation.

Obstacles arose that I could no longer overcome on my own. Small setbacks kept throwing me off track. My health and relationships suffered and I began to question many things. That was the moment when I realized: I urgently needed help. At that point, Monika came into my life and created an environment of trust from the start in which I felt comfortable and could open up. I always found our numerous conversations to be very appreciative, sensitive and, above all, constructive.

Monika’s valuable food for thought and self-reflection exercises helped me to massively improve my self-perception. I was able to identify patterns in my behavior, understand them, and react to them or change them sustainably.

Joint meditation exercises helped me to become aware of events from my childhood that had shaped my thinking and beliefs and to come to terms with them in a positive way.

Ultimately, I became increasingly clear about my goals and needs and, with Monika’s help, I was able to lay the foundation for positive change.
